Gill & Lagodich have framed the following paintings for the North Carolina Museum of Art: Ashe-Moses Family Group, 1845; Robert Seldon Duncanson, A View in the Laurentian Mountains, near Québec, 1865: Emanuel Leutze, The Attainder of Strafford, 1849; William Merritt Chase, In the Baptistry of St. Mark’s, Venice, 1878; and Julian Alden Weir, The Black Lace Dress (Portrait of the Artist’s Wife), 1885.

EMANUEL GOTTLIEB LEUTZE (1816–1868)

The Attainder of Strafford, 1849, oil on canvas, 48-1/4 x 42-1/4 in. Custom-made replica c. 1840s-50s American painting frame; gilded applied composition ornament on wood,, molding width: 5” (5-3/8” at corners.) Purchased with funds from the Art Trust Fund Endowment and the bequest of Carlyle Adams, and partial gift of Prof. William H. Gerdts and Abigail Booth Gerdts 2017.12
